The Process

A white vase with dried flowers on a white surface next to a postcard featuring a painting of sky clouds at sunset.

Dream It

The first step is deciding on the size of the painting that will work best in your space. If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to chat and help you choose. Once we settle on the size, we move to the fun part—gathering inspiration. Any reference photos you can share are incredibly helpful, especially if they capture something close to your heart. The more context I have, the better I can shape the painting.

Sketch it

Before I begin painting, I create a few collages and composition ideas to show the direction I’m envisioning. This stage ensures we’re aligned and that the concept truly resonates with you. Once the composition is approved, the oil painting begins.

Paint it

Most commissions take around 2–3 weeks to complete, depending on the size of the piece. I work on the painting until you’re genuinely happy with the result. The edges of the canvas are painted as an extension of the background, so the piece is ready to hang without framing if you wish. Once approved, the artwork is carefully varnished, professionally packed, and shipped within 5–7 business days. Delivery time varies depending on location and customs clearance, so exact arrival dates cannot be guaranteed.

Price it

Commission prices are based on size. Because each piece is created specifically for you, commissions are typically about 15% higher than my ready-to-ship paintings. To begin, a 50% deposit is required, with the remaining balance (plus shipping) due once the painting is complete and approved.
